Gang: An update to this episode–Tom Charles showed up to say hello. He walked in at lunch so had a bite to eat and then went outside for a smoke with me. Jeff and Bill joined us and at that moment (not yet having been inside the archive area) Tom had a vision, not about the mystery car but a Mercury Coup and a kid. He put his jewelry and belt in his truck, took off his shoes and went into the building with the cast and the museum staff and walked directly to the only Mercury coup in the building. It was in the aisle next to the mystery car. The night before Bill had got a reading that said Mercury, though he and Jeff were concentrating on our mystery car. So Mercury made no sense at that point. Stuff started to happen so we scrambled and got two IR cameras and sound in with the gang and shut out the lights. A merry chase ensued with the hosts communicating with a spirit that banged on metal many times and vibrated a piece of metal right next to Jeff and made other sorts of noises. They found markings in the dust all around the mystery car. Everyone was generally freaked and excited. Tom Charles had arrived with a bang.

I have been adjusting the story and therefore the shots as we run by the seat of our pants. Each day I will do a director’s paper cut with some sort of slate numbers etc. But some stuff like the chase with Tom was not seen on any monitor and I could not get in there with them as they moved throughout the dark–too many bodies. We are working on improving that situation. It just came like a storm.

More tonight–

Rob

Subject: One In The Can

Pretty eventful night as Jeff and Bill made lengthy contact with several spirits and zeroed in on a 6 year old boy named Daniel (remember the initials DS?). He wanted to see his parents but he was scared and other spirits were keeping him there. There was lots of Bill gadgets clicking and lighting up in answer to questions and words coming out etc.

There was a big sit down with the cast, Tom and Josh from the museum. It was decided that we should try to help Daniel get to his mom. A smudge was held inside the building in one of the garages. Later we were all smudged and we rolled out with plenty of material. A big space like that was tough on a tiny crew and our equipment. The concrete and steel really interfered with our wireless camera-to-monitor system. I was often too busy trying to get a handle on how to do things or hoping Darryl could figure out a better way around the challenges, to have time to decide if what I saw and heard was real. I was really creeped out by this place. At one point after we wrapped, I was gathering some gear on my own in a back corner near the wardrobe area and I was so overtaken by the feeling that something was in there, that I bailed and waited for someone to go back in with me.
