The MEL 8704R Meter is a multi-function meter used by many ghost hunters, including our team.
It includes an EMF meter similar to our tireless standard K-II but also a lot of other functionality. It has Automatic Temperature Deviation Detection (ATDD) which lets our team know when there are notable fluctuations in temperature (which can sometimes indicate a presence in the spaces we investigate). It also includes an SDD Shadow Detection Audible Alarm circuit which makes a sound can detect subtle changes in light levels. This acts essentially as a very sensitive motion sensor and can provide further insight into potential movement in a room.
The TOS team uses the MEL meter and the similar multifunctional REM-POD to supplement or confirm readings on other pieces of equipment we standardly use.
